tea, on paper (2010)
The tea tree is located on a tiny island in a midst of a geothermal lake with pure transparent and very hot water. Twice a year—in early summer and in late autumn— the tree sheds its leaves into the waters of the lake, so that in a matter of few days the whole lake contains an exquisite tea.
When this natural phenomenon was discovered, a monastery was constructed on a tea-stained shore. For generations the monks had been taking care of the lake and the tree itself, while being the sole distributors of this marvelous natural drink.
